Principal photography begins in August on the local feature project "The Romance of Loneliness."
The film is co-directed by writer Sarah Ledbetter and Matteo Servente. The two collaborated on the short film "Dammi Il La," which screened at several festivals around the world.
"The Romance of Loneliness" stars Amy LaVere in her first starring role as Amanda, a woman from a traditional Southern family who has no idea what to make of her life and is determined to avoid finding out.
The film is being produced by Paper Moon Films' Ryan Watt and Nick Case. The partners teamed up in June of last year to help service the needs of local and southern filmmakers. Paper Moon produced Kentucker Audley's films "Holy Land" and "Open Five."
"The Romance of Loneliness" will be entirely shot in the Mid-South and Memphis region. Additional casting and locations will be finalized during the next few months.
