Commission-assisted 'Memphis Heat'

Thursday's premiere of "Memphis Heat: The True Story of Memphis Wrasslin'," is at Malco's Paradiso Thursday, with the regular run starting Friday at Studio on the Square and DeSoto Cinema.

The feature-length documentary — a Memphis & Shelby County Film and Television Commission assisted project — is directed by local filmmaker Chad Schaffler and was developed by Sherman Willmott and writer Ron Hall.

Movie premiere is 7 and 9 p.m. Thursday at the Malco Paradiso, 584 S. Mendenhall. Tickets are $10 (the 7 p.m. show is sold out) available at malco.com.

The regular engagement begins Friday at Studio on the Square, 2105 Court, and the DeSoto Cinema 16 in Southaven.
