The biggest lineup yet will be screened Saturday at Live From Memphis' Li'l Film Fest. The 19 films — each one five minutes or less — are by local filmmakers who incorporated snippets of images provided by Live From Memphis.
The "Free Footage" showing happens at 2 p.m. Saturday at Memphis Brooks Museum of Art.
The Memphis and Shelby County Film and Television Commission, along with Indie Memphis, will present the $500 Jury Award. Jurors for this 12th Li'l Film Fest are three out-of-town filmmakers who were in Memphis in October at the annual Indie Memphis Film Festival: Kyle Patrick Alvarez ("Easier With Practice"), Kris Swanberg ("It Was Great, But I Was Ready to Come Home") and Scott Teems ("That Evening Sun").
Also, audience members will cast votes for their favorite short film. The winner takes the proceeds of the event's ticket sales. Admission is $5 at the door.
